Campus Visit
You and your family are cordially invited to visit the Academy during your college search. In fact, we believe that a visit is essential to making an informed decision. During your visit, you can count on small groups and authentic conversations about the cadet experience, Coast Guard missions, and career opportunities.

Ready When You Are

The Admissions Office is open year round Monday through Friday and certain Saturdays, except on federal holidays and Reporting-In Day. Weekday hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Online registration is required for campus programs. Drop-in visits to meet informally with an Admissions Officer are permitted. Cadet-led tours are available on Mondays, Fridays and some Saturdays during the academic year. Online registration is required. Please have valid photo identification available for all adults upon approaching the security gate. Any vehicle, and its occupants, entering the United States Coast Guard Academy are subject to security searches by uniformed security officers.

To schedule a visit or attend one of our many off campus events, search the event schedule. If you have an Admissions login (Bears Den account), have your user name and password handy. If not, you will be asked to set up an account when you register.

What Cadet for a Day Participants Are Saying

“It was a wonderful experience and truly showed how great of an establishment the Coast Guard Academy is. I believe (just from what I saw for a day) that I have the leadership and honor to fit right in and be "part of the crew". So thank you again for offering the experience that I will not forget.”   Jason K

“I [met] Coach Randall, practiced with the rowing team, and stayed in the barracks with one of the rowers which was a great experience! I am very much looking forward to hearing whether or not I am selected. USCGA was far better in person then I expected and I know now more than ever that it has so much to offer."   Grant N
